Allergies are a very common problem in certain pets. The main reasons for allergies are parasites,food allergy,contact allergy. It is important to keep your pet free from fleas and ticks to reduce discomfort. Some animals are allergic to certain foods and allergies are flared when they are fed those foods. In that case elimination is the way to go. Those foods have to be recognized and removed from their food. Contact allergy is another important factor that plays a role in the itchy pet. Some animals are allergic to certain types of grasses, fabric or even dust mites. Please keep your pet parasite free specially when they come into boarding and try to provide with their regular food as change in diet also triggers allergies.
